The After Party: Disco Biscuits @ The Majestic 2001/04/07
If Brownie says this was one of his favorite nights, then it’s worth your time to listen to! I especially enjoy the Bisco material from this period of their career. It was their 2001/09/01 show from the Wetlands that initially blew me away and confirmed to me that I had to take this band more seriously. Enjoy the late night sounds!

Fresh Jams: Conspirator @ The Fox Theatre
Courtesy of Phoncert, here is a fresh soundboard from the Disco Biscuits’ sky rocketing side project Conspirator. The show was recorded and streamed from the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO on March 15, 2014. Conspirator’s current lineup consists of the Disco Biscuits’ bass player Marc Brownstein, keyboard player Aaron Magner, guitarist Chris Michetti from RAQ, and KJ Sawka from Pendulum behind the drums. Enjoy.
In The Making: Rhythm Devils Pair With Disco Biscuits at GOTV
One of the more intriguing collaborations announced for Bridgeport, CT’s annual Gathering Of The Vibes during Saturday’s special show at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY is a pairing of Grateful Dead drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart with the Disco Biscuits.
While no one would argue that the sounds of the Dead and the Biscuits differ dramatically, they still share the common thread of having the ability to create awe inspiring improvisational music and jams to last a lifetime. I understand there will most likely be detractors who don’t like or understand the teaming up of two of classic rock’s greatest drummers with one of electronic rock’s kingpins, but to those people I say: it is these collaborations that make for some of the most memorable moments at festivals; pairings that you’d never think you’d see in a million years. Here’s an opportunity to see one.
Sure, the project may end up not deserving further consideration for another appearance down the road, but why not see the Rhythm Devils and the Biscuits team up just once and see what happens? I can tell you from where I’m sitting, I greatly look forward to hearing this blend of musicians.
As a little taste of what we might be in store for, here is Conspirator (Marc Brownstein and Aaron Magner of the Disco Biscuits) performing “Scarlet Begonias” from their set at the 2012 Wanee Festival.
